| Day 1 |
Arrival in the morning at the Airport of Palermo (around 10:30 – 11.00); Our guests find the guide at their arrival. The arrival drive will give the opportunity to have an overview of the historic centre before getting to the hotel and leave the luggage.
Lunch in a nice restaurant amongst the ones selected by you (we’ll let you choose from a list of selected places before you arrival).
After lunch, transfer to Monreale, and visit to the Arab/Norman cathedral and its cloister, one of the most important monuments in Italy.
Return to Palermo.
Free afternoon, to let people go around a little bit on their own.
In the evening, transfer for dinner in a private historic palazzo, welcomed by the owners.
Return to the hotel. |
| Day 2 |
Departure to the Cave di Cusa, the quarries used by the Greeks to build the temples of Selinunte. There, we’ll be able to appreciate their work and skills, in an area left "as if it was yesterday", with the rocks of the column on the way to be extracted.
Then, we’ll transfer to Selinunte, where we’ll visit the biggest archaeological park in Europe, with the Doric temples of the sacred area and the ruins of the ancient town located in a breathtaking site, right by the sea and along a pristine beach.
Lunch at a country estate, by the sea, close to Selinunte, hosted by the owners.
After lunch, transfer to the Segesta, and visit of its famous temple and the theatre.
Return to Palermo.

| Day 3 |
A walk along the historic centre of Palermo, the biggest in Europe after Rome, to get the flavour of the city.
From the hotel, we walk along the Cassaro (from the Arab al-Qasr, the castle), the most ancient road of Palermo, that leads to the Royal Palace.
We visit the cathedral, a marvellous mixture of styles and cultures, which contains inside thumbs of the Norman king Roger II and of the Emperor Frederic II, as well as the relics of S. Rosalia, the Saint Patron of the city.
After crossing Porta Nuova, one of the main gates of the walled city, we go and visit the Royal Palace, with its unique Palatine Chapel and the royal apartments.
Lunch.
The tour goes on with the visit of the historical centre, walking along its narrow, winding roads visiting some of the most important monuments and sights of the city: Piazza Marina and the XIV century Palazzo Steri, the church of S. Francesco, the popular market of Vucciria, Piazza Pretoria and the Town Hall, the churches of S. Maria dell’Ammiraglio and S. Cataldo, the 4 Corners.
We return to the hotel after this long walk.
Dinner nearby Piazza Magione and night visit of the former church of S. Maria dello Spasimo, on the bastions of the walled city. |
| Day 4 |
Transfer to the airport. End of the tour. |
