Description
The hamlet of Mazzaforno is around 4 km from Cefalù and is considered one of the loveliest beaches near this historic little town.
Our villa is located here, around 100 metres from the beach. The villa is ultra-modern and practical, but also hints at Sicilian traditions. It is built around a patio enclosed on three sides, filled with plumbago, jasmine and palm trees that evoke an exotic atmosphere.
This patio is an integral part of the villa and is only separated from the interior by large French windows, so that the spaces blend together as one.
These French windows are a special feature of Villa Mazzaforno , making it an ‘open’ home, which is dazzlingly bright and perfectly in harmony with its surrounding grounds.
The spacious and ultra-tasteful living room, with its modern design and some striking pieces of furniture that add to its charm, centres around a high-tech fireplace dividing the spaces (two lounge areas and one dining area) that would otherwise be one. The counterpoint to the patio is a little garden in front of the villa that is accessed from the lounge through a pergola-covered terrace, with a sitting and dining area.
The bedrooms are not overly large but are comfortable and all have en-suite bathrooms.
Villa Mazzaforno also has a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with a central island.

Surroundings
Cefalù is one of the nicest seaside resorts in Sicily, overlooked by the Natural Park of the Madonie mountains. As well as fantastic mountain landscapes there are monuments, castles, old mills and cave churches, and great cuisine. Cefalù is the most important resort in Sicily after Taormina, and it is unique for its lovely position, its Arab-Norman cathedral and its medieval alleyways.
The climate in Cefalù is mild all year long, making it a destination well worth considering for an out of season holiday.
The villa is a perfect base for both days on the beach, and forays into the mountains and hills where many villages retain the traditions of authentic Sicilian cuisine.

The sea can be seen amidst the vegetation only from the terrace to the north and from the sun terrace
The villa does not have a swimming pool but the beach (one part of which is sandy and the other rocky) can be easily reached on foot, 100 metres down the road.
The beach may be fairly crowded in Summer and especially on Saturdays; therefore the villa has 6 sun beds (upon request and subject to availability) at a beach concession with good facilities that also has a cafe’.
