Surroundings
There is a small grocery shop, where you can buy food and other stuff, in walking distance. In the summer it is also open on Sundays.
You can buy fresh vegetables and fruit direct from one of the local farmers
The area is also renowned for the quality of its meat.
The tiny medieval village of Scopello is about a kilometre away. Here you can try great ice creams and typical "pane cunsato" (bread dressed with olive oil, salt and other ingredients).
In Scopello there are some nice little restaurants and trattorie, where you can the specialities of this part of Sicily. You can also find local ceramics.
There are magnificent hikes along the paths of Zingaro Nature Reserve, that stretches along the coast from Scopello to San Vito Lo Capo.
Near the villa there is minigolf course and a horse riding club.
In the surrounding area, you can visit the perfectly preserved medieval hill town of Erice, the seaside resort of San Vito Lo Capo, the town of Castellammare del Golfo and the Greek ruins of Segesta.
